I have taught for 25 years or so now and work in public urban inner-city schools. Students in these schools often do not have resources outside of school to help them succeed in school. I have used the idea of school as a game to try to help them see how the rules of the game (school) apply to them and how to make the educational system work for them.

I am a teacher and educational consultant. I have taught physics and earth science full time in an inner city urban public high school; math in CTE courses such as welding and building trades; math to students of all ages; and modern physics to high school physics teachers. I currently teach a university course in physics for elementary education majors and am running an after-school STEM program at an urban inner-city middle school.
